The Tour

Where does the tour depart from?

All tours depart from our office in downtown Siem Reap. From there, our shuttle will take you to the Kulen Elephant Forest reserve, with the drive taking approximately one hour each way.

What will I experience at Kulen Elephant Forest?

You’ll follow elephants through their natural forest habitat, observing their relationships and behaviors up close. It’s an immersive, education-led experience. Browse our website to find the experience that suits you best.

How long is the drive to the reserve?

Approximately one hour from our Siem Reap office to the forest. Your shuttle departs on time, so please plan accordingly.

What to Bring & Dietary

What should I wear or bring?

Wear comfortable clothes, you don’t mind getting dirty and closed-toe shoes suitable for walking on uneven terrain. Bring sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen, and mosquito spray. The forest environment is beautiful but demands a little preparation.

Are vegetarian/vegan meals available?

All meals include vegetarian options. Vegan options are not currently available. We’re working on expanding our menu — thank you for your patience.

Can I notify you of dietary restrictions?

Yes, please do. Let us know your dietary needs when booking or in advance of your visit and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

Policies

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellations made more than 48 hours in advance receive a 75% refund. Between 24 – 48 hours, 50% is refunded. Cancellations within 24 hours are non-refundable.

What happens if I'm late or miss my tour?

Tours depart at the scheduled time — please arrive 15 minutes early. Missed tours are non-refundable. Rescheduling is possible subject to availability but not guaranteed.

Can the itinerary change?

Yes, itineraries may be adjusted or cancelled due to weather or the elephants’ needs. Their wellbeing always takes priority — we appreciate your understanding.

Do I need to sign a waiver?

Yes, all visitors are required to sign a standard liability release waiver provided by Kulen Elephant Forest upon arrival.
