In December of 2019, we opened Kulen Elephant Forest, a safe retirement haven for the elephants formerly giving rides in the Angkor Archaeological Park.
By shifting the focus of animal-based tourism to conservation and retiring the world’s most famous riding elephants, we take great pride in having been able to make such a statement.

The outbreak of the CoViD-19 has negatively impacted Cambodia’s tourism in such a way that we are now fearful.
Fearful that we now may struggle to sustain ourselves alone.
Our self-sustaining model relied on tourism to finance our basic operations, and being so new, we did not have the time to prepare for this kind of contingency.
